FRANKLIN COUNTY – The man accused of killing a Roanoke woman was in court for the first time Thursday morning.
Lamarre Camper was read his charges Thursday morning.
He is charged with the murder of Brittany Freeny.
She was last seen on May 1 with Camper.
Utility workers found her body two days later in Franklin County.
The judge says Camper is charged with a Class Two Felony, which could lead to 20 years to life in prison if he is found guilty.
