Roanoke Rescue Mission teams up with local businesses to prepare food boxes for local families

ROANOKE, Va. – The Roanoke Rescue Mission, “Coca Cola Consolidated,” and Kroger teamed up to pack 400 Manna Food boxes.

They are filled with canned vegetables, drinks, and peanut butter, providing a critical lifeline to those on the verge of being homeless.

“Folks who are coming to pick up boxes, they have housing, they are living in their own apartment and homes, they’re your neighbors but what they need is a food supplement because they can’t quite make those financial ends meet,” Kevin Berry with Roanoke Rescue Mission said.

The Manna Food boxes are distributed every week.
