Kroger has announced that it’s seeking to hire hundreds just in time for the hustle and bustle of the holiday season.

The grocer is offering an hourly rate of $17/hour and more than $22/hour when benefits are included, according to a press release.

Employees will also qualify for healthcare and retirement benefits, flexible schedules, an advance payment option and discounts.

Plus, with Kroger Mid-Atlantic’s tuition reimbursement program, its full-time and part-time employees can receive up to $21,000 for their education. The funding covers courses from the GED level up to Ph.D. programs.

“Discover a fresh opportunity ahead of the holidays at Kroger Mid-Atlantic and join our team of associates,” said Lori Raya, president of Kroger Mid-Atlantic. “Whether you are seeking a part-time job or a new career, we strive to empower our associates to feed their future by providing all the right ingredients they need to succeed.”

If you’re interested in applying, Kroger will be holding in-person open interviews every Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. until all positions are filled.

There will also be virtual hiring events throughout the month of November.
