Severe weather is moving through the Commonwealth and is impacting a large portion of our region, resulting in power outages.

Over 2,500 customer outages have been reported in Roanoke following a vehicle accident that occurred in the area, Appalachian Power Company said.

Roanoke, Va. – More than 100 APCo customers are without power after a car crash around 9 p.m. Saturday, according to the power company's website. A small part of Grandin Road is shut down between Hope Road and Windsor Hills Baptist Church. As of 10 a.m., power is expected to be restored by 6 p.m.
