Liberty University student reflects on time on Jeopardy! following death of Alex Trebek
LYNCHBURG, Va โ A Liberty University student who recently appeared on "Jeopardy!โ is remembering her time spent with the late Alex Trebek. Natalie Hathcote flew to Los Angeles to audition for the college edition of the show exactly one year ago. She said working with Trebek had always been a dream of hers, and even though she did not win her episode, sheโs thankful for the opportunity to learn from him. Being on the show was awesome in part because he was so dignified, but he was also really fun and really kind,โ said Hathcote. She has even remained friends with the other college student from the tournament.

Danville:A student at George Washington High School has tested positive for coronavirus. The student has been participating in virtual learning and has not been on school property since Aug. 20. A student at Grove Park Preschool who was last in the building on Nov. 24. A student at Galileo Magnet High School who was last in the building on Nov. 24. There is no exposure within the school district.
University of Virginia student tests positive for coronavirus
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. โ A University of Virginia student has tested positive for coronavirus, according to an announcement from the school on Twitter. Officials say the student is one of three positive COVID-19 cases in the Thomas Jefferson Health District. According to the schoolโs announcement, the student is living off-grounds in Albermarle County and is believe to have contracted the virus during recent international travel. The student is reportedly in isolation, and the health department is working to find anyone who may have come in contact with the patient.
Longwood University to temporarily cancel classes as student has โpresumptive positiveโ coronavirus test result
FARMVILLE, Va. โ A student at Longwood University was tested for the new coronavirus (COVID-19) and received a โpresumptive positiveโ result, the university announced Wednesday. University officials say the student will continue to self-quarantine while waiting for the CDC to confirm the positive test. This student has relatively mild symptoms and is a family contact of a presumptive positive COVID-19 case from another region of Virginia, according to Piedmont Health District officials. The student has been in quarantine since March 9, and had just arrived to the Longwood campus on March 8, 2020. The Virginia Department of Health believes that even with the presumptive positive result, โthere remains a low generalized risk" to the Longwood community, according to university officials.
