ROANOKE, Va. – Storms Sunday evening were awfully loud and strong as they moved south through parts of the region. At one point, power outages were fairly widespread throughout Rockbridge County.

Aside from localized wind damage and hail, these storms turned the sky black while lightning up the sky too. Your pictures reflect that in our ongoing online gallery.
