Lynchburg Police Investigate Fraud Case - Update

Update – LYNCHBURG (WSLS 10) - Lynchburg police say due to numerous tips through Crimestoppers and calls directly to the department, detectives arrested 58-year old John Rice and 44-year old Cassandra Goode, both of Lynchburg on Tuesday. Rice and Goode were charged with unauthorized use of an EBT card which is a class 5 felony.

Police say 22-year old Jaquan Goode of Lynchburg turned himself in to detectives today and was charged with unauthorized use of an EBT card which is a Class 5 Felony.

LYNCHBURG (WSLS 10) - The Lynchburg Police Department is investigating an alleged fraud case in which several different subjects may have used a stolen EBT card to make a large amount of purchases from several stores. All of these purchases were made during the months of November and December of this year.

Police say they are trying to identify two middle-aged white males, and a young to middle-aged black female.
