ROANOKE (WSLS 10) - People in the Roanoke Valley spent Sunday afternoon exercising what they call their first and second amendment rights.

Members in Groups like Rebel-lution and Battle Flag Rally for Freedom stood in front the Berglund Center this afternoon to hold a peaceful protest.

Demonstrators said they want to end the gun control debate and promote the idea that guns don't kill people, people kill people.

They said they don't want to lose their second amendment right.

"We're tired of our rights being infringed upon, whether it be through ammo bands or magazine restrictions or what type of fire arms we can have or can't have at the end of the day the second amendment states at the very end it shall not be infringed," Daniel Highberger said.

Organizers said about 70-80 people were at the demonstration, said they plan to protest again.
