RICHMOND (WSLS10) - The recent snow storm may be the most expensive in state history, according to Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe.

The governor says cleanup efforts may use the state's entire snow response budget, which is around $200 million.

It has been costing the state up to $3 million dollars an hour for crews to treat and clear roads following the winter whiteout.

McAuliffe says the state will request federal assistance to make up some of the money.
