Arrest made in Salem meth case

SALEM (WSLS 10) - Salem Police arrest a man in connection with a methamphetamine case.

Officers responded to the 1600 block of Reece Road on Saturday, February 6.

According to investigators, a woman told themĀ she saw a man entering an abandoned structure.

The man tried to run away, but when policeĀ caught up with him, they saw he was carrying a bottle containing a liquid substance.

The man told investigatorsĀ he had been making meth in the building prior to their arrival.

OfficersĀ found evidence of the manufacturing process and tookĀ the materials.

Joseph Gabris, 28, was arrested andĀ charged with possession of methamphetamine, manufacturing of methamphetamine, and trespassing.

Gabris was taken to the Roanoke County/Salem Jail where he was released after posting a secured bond.
