The plan includes movingĀ the current start times for elementary schools 15 minutes later, from 9 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. School bus pickup times would also shift from the current 7:35 - 8:10 a.m. time frame to between 8:05 and 8:30 a.m.

The start time for the middle schools would shift from 7:40 a.m. to 8:05 a.m. and bus pickup times would go from 6:10 - 7:05 a.m. to 7:05 - 7:40 a.m.

The start time for the high schools would move from 7:50 a.m. to 8:05 a.m. and pickup times would shift from 6:10 - 7:05 a.m. to 7:05 - 7:40 a.m., same time frame as the middle schools.

The proposal comes a little more than a month after the Montgomery County School Board rescinded a previous vote to start school earlier for elementary students and later forĀ middle and high school students.

The school board is expected to vote on Miear's proposal at the April 5 meeting.
