Roanoke woman honored by Rose Parade float

18-year-old was running when she went into cardiac arrest in 2005

PASADENA, Calif. – A local runner is being remembered after her organ donation saved four other lives.

Grace Lovegrove was featured on the Donate Life float during Monday's Rose Parade in California.

The 18-year-old was running when she went into cardiac arrest in 2005.

Her kidneys, liver and pancreas went to others in need.

The Donate Life float honors organ donors and transplant recipients and tries to motivate others to become donors.
