Two men stabbed at Roanoke City Market

Argument led up to stabbing

ROANOKE, Va. – Roanoke police say two men were stabbed after an argument at the Roanoke City Market.

Officers responded to the situation around 7 p.m. Thursday. They had blocked off a stretch of Campbell Avenue and put up crime scene tape while they were gathering evidence.

The two men were taken to the hospital, according to authorities. It's not clear yet how badly they were hurt, but they are in stable condition as of Friday morning.

Police describe the suspect as a thin man around 5'5" to 5'8", with facial hair. He was wearing jeans and a camouflage jacket at the time. No one has been arrested yet.

Police say it appears to be an isolated incident, and those involved may be part of the transient community.
