There are more than 600 children who are ready for adoption in Virginia. They are ready to find a permanent and loving forever family. 10 News is profiling one child who needs a home every day at 6 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. in 30 Days of Hope. The children are all ages and races and were put into foster care due to no fault of their own. 2021 marks the fifth year 10 News is doing this series.
Meet JoRyan
JoRyan has a wonderful sense of humor that he freely shares with everyone.
“I feel like I belong in a foster home, but I’m going to get adopted with a good family,” said the 14-year-old.
You could be that family for JoRyan.
“Family means to me when you’re nice to me, respectful to me, keep me safe and keep me happy,” he said.
He loves outside activities and wants to do that with family.
“Playing around with my family, watching TV with my family, sleeping together around a campfire and a tent. Watching scary movies, eating food together like popcorn, pizza, ice cream,” he said. “I like to do football, basketball, dodgeball. I like to eat.”
His favorite food is McDonald’s chicken nuggets and his favorite subjects in school are math and recess.
He loves playing games too, especially ones that involve strategy.
“I like to play games like Fortnite, Call of Duty, Minecraft, card games like Phase 10, Uno, Monopoly,” he said.
JoRyan also enjoys collecting Legos and being creative, building different things.
