SE Roanoke house fire causes $16,000 in damages

Authorities say no injuries have been reported

Crews respond to fire in SE Roanoke (WSLS)

ROANOKE, Va. – A Southeast Roanoke house fire has left about $16,000 in damages, according to Roanoke Fire-EMS.

The call came in at 11:06 p.m. for the report of a fire in the 300 block of Dale Avenue, according to Roanoke City dispatchers.

We’re told the fire was found in the attic of the two-and-a-half-story home. Crews were able to contain it within about 20 minutes of arriving at the scene, the fire department said.

As of right now, authorities say no injuries have been reported.

The Fire Marshal’s Office is looking into what may have caused the fire.
