Driver arrested after I-81 police chase

NEW RIVER VALLEY, Va. – Police arrested one person Monday night who they say refused to pull over and led a trooper on a chase.

A Virginia State Police trooper initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle near the 109-mile marker of Interstate 81 South at 7:38 p.m. However, the vehicle -- which was clocked at 85 mph in a 70-mph zone -- did not stop, according to Corinne Geller with Virginia State Police.
