McAuliffe may run for 10th Congressional District in Northern Virginia

RICHMOND ā€“ Virginia First Lady Dorothy McAuliffe is considering running for Congress.

She confirmed she is weighing a run for the Democratic nomination to face Republican Representative Barbara Comstock in the 10th Congressional District in Northern Virginia next year, according to the Washington Post.

Dorothy McAuliffe has worked as a banking and securities attorney.Ā 

As First Lady, she expanded the public school free breakfast program and worked on gun legislation.

The Governor's term ends in January.
