SALEM, Va. – Washington & Lee women's lacrosse team fell just short of an NCAA Division III championship game appearance.
The Generals fell to The College of New Jersey 5-4 in the semifinal game Saturday.
"I couldn't be prouder of my team and where we are. From where we've been the last nine years to where we are today is just light years different and that's just 32 women bought in," head coach Brooke O'Brien said.
"I definitely have a lot of pride in this team and this class and what we've been able to do. You know, it stings a little bit. I wish we were playing tomorrow. But I couldn't be more thankful for my class, my teammates, Brooke and Erica, just for helping us all get here," senior Sara Holland said.
