Hokies defenders earn accolades

Virginia Tech braces for a trip to undefeated Miami

BLACKSBURG, Va. –      The Hokies survived the Blue Devils and the rain on Saturday to move to 7-1 on the season.
But there's plenty of work  to be done to reach Charlotte and the ACC title tilt in December.  Virginia Tech coach Justin Fuente was matter-of-fact about the upcoming challenge at undefeated Miami.

"We know we have a tremendous challenge as a football team this week to go on the road and play a very athletic, and well-coached and undefeated Miami team at their place. We had a good workout yesterday, The kids are off today and hopefully we'll have a good week of preparation, " Fuente said.
