Jocelyn Routt is a Community Journalist for WSLS. Before joining the team, she earned her journalism degree from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia, with a minor in communication studies.
During her time at JMU, she interned at WDBJ7 as a reporter and at a radio station named Harrisonburg Media Group, where she anchored the news channel and did the Q101 Morning Show. She also created, edited, and recorded audiobooks for college students with reading disabilities in her Disability and Advocacy course.
Jocelyn was born and raised in Franklin County, and she is happy to come back to her "roots."
Outside the newsroom, Jocelyn enjoys working out, trying new foods, swimming, and spending time with friends and family.
