The New York native’s love for writing started when she wrote her first book at age 3 with crayons on colored-paper.
Following her passion, Alexus attended the University of Florida and graduated magna cum laude with a degree in telecommunications. She is a first-generation college graduate.
In college, she interviewed politicians like Sen. Marco Rubio, Sen. Tim Kaine and others during the 2016 presidential election.
Alexus comes to Roanoke from the duopoly KOTA/KEVN-TV in Rapid City, South Dakota, where she worked as a multimedia journalist, anchor and producer.

She covered stories like the impact of George Floyd’s death, the legal debate of tribal checkpoints on the Indian reservations and sat down with the first elected female governor in the state.

Alexus is a Yankee fan but is ready to learn the Blue Ridge way!
