Our 1st and 10 Camp Tour rolls on to Floyd County where Winfred Beale is entering his 42nd season as head coach. The Buffaloes went 6-5 in the fall, with the senior class having played 18 weeks of games in 2021. They used a complete offseason to their advantage, and are ready to show that hard work pays off this fall.

Minnesota routs Colorado 30-0 behind stout defense, Potts
Thomas Rush's big-play afternoon looked like this: Three tackles, two sacks and assisting fans who fell a short distance near the north end zone after a retaining barrier broke. The Minnesota defensive lineman was one of several Gophers players and team personnel who came to the rescue when a fence gave way along the Minnesota sideline as the team celebrated following the game. The advertising signs helped brace the short fall — the Gophers mascot was knocked to the ground — and police quickly arrived to assist.news.yahoo.com

It was a 96-73 thumping of Georgetown, the program Ewing starred for in the 1980s and now coaches. “We didn't bring our ‘A’ game,” Ewing said. He was called for a flagrant-one foul when he took down Georgetown big man Timothy Ighoefe by the neck while Ighoefe was going up for what looked like an easy bucket. Walker became the 16th player in tournament history to shoot at least five 3s and make them all. By making the surprise trip to the tournament, Ewing alleviated some of the heat he was starting to feel back home.

Hollingshed had a career-high 32 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the Buffaloes (6-6, 4-5 Pac-12). Hull finished with 19 points, Haley Jones had 16 points and seven rebounds and Cameron Brink scored 13 for the Cardinal. Her steal and layup with 23 seconds left tied it and sent the game to overtime.
Texas overcomes Ehlinger injury, routs Colorado 55-23

Ehlinger missed the second half after sustaining a shoulder injury in the second quarter. Thompson started the second half in place of Ehlinger and led Texas to a touchdown on its opening possession. Texas: The Longhorns found a capable replacement for Ehlinger in Thompson.

Beale and company ready for a productive 2019 season for Floyd County
FLOYD, Va. - The Floyd County Buffaloes are looking to bounce back from a disappointing 2-8 finish in 2018. But head coach Winfred Beale still has 221 wins at Floyd County, and 2019 marks his 39th season. They return 10 seniors and a lot of offensive output and the motivation to get this year started on the right foot.
