A man was injured after a shooting in Roanoke early Friday, according to Roanoke Police.

Crews are currently working to repair a water line break in Roanoke, according to the Western Virginia Water Authority.

ROANOKE, Va. – Roanoke Police are investigating an incident that left one injured and another arrested in Grandin Saturday afternoon. An officer on the scene told 10 News that a person was stabbed inside of the Grandin Village Apartments on 1700 Grandin Road around 2:40 p.m.Police said one person is arrested. ROANOKE, Va. – A Black Lives Matter demonstration marched through the heart of Grandin Village Saturday afternoon, but this protest focused on families first. “This is about the whole family structure coming out in unison with black lives and being able to do that peacefully on a beautiful morning,” said Roanoke activist Jordan Bell, who helped lead Roanoke’s first Black Lives Matter march after George Floyd’s death. “As hard as it can be to have these discussions with the kids, we need to do our part to open their eyes,” Shires said. “This is just a small step in that process.”Bell says the Black Lives Matter movement has come a long way since the initial march at the end of May, and demonstrations like this are signs progress is still being made. “A lot of conversations are happening, but we hope those conversations turn into action and substance,” Bell said.

Roanoke, Va. – More than 100 APCo customers are without power after a car crash around 9 p.m. Saturday, according to the power company's website. A small part of Grandin Road is shut down between Hope Road and Windsor Hills Baptist Church. As of 10 a.m., power is expected to be restored by 6 p.m.

ROANOKE, Va. Roanoke police are investigating a reported bank robbery that happened in Grandin Village on Monday afternoon. The call came in at 1:15 p.m. for a robbery at Pinnacle Bank on Grandin Road. Police say a man came into the bank, displayed a gun, demanded money and left with an undisclosed amount of money. Police say no one was hurt during the robbery. The hold and secure has been lifted for these schools.

A large police presence has been spotted near the Murray Run Greenway trailhead off Grandin Road in Roanoke. Authorities are not able to disclose what they are investigating, but an official did say officers are following up on tips all over the city as the search for murder suspect Michael Brown continues. The trailhead is across the street from St. Elizabeths Episcopal Church, where the RV authorities believe Brown used to get from South Carolina to Roanoke was found Thursday. Crews are working to repair a 12-inch water main that broke Monday evening in the 2500 block of Grandin Road SW. The break has been isolated, and almost all customers in the area should have water service now, according to the Western Virginia Water Authority.
