The Town of Christiansburg celebrated the Fourth of July on Saturday with a day of family-friendly festivities at Huckleberry Park, while also recognizing the nation’s 250th anniversary.

The New River Valley community is lacing up their shoes this Sunday for the annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s, taking place at Christiansburg’s Huckleberry Park.

The American Heart Association partnered with LewisGale Montgomery to hold the 2025 New River Valley Heart Walk Saturday morning.

Christiansburg Parks and Recreation won three awards for its work with the Huckleberry Park.

Leaders in Christiansburg have made it their mission to make the town a recreation destination, and after opening the Christiansburg Huckleberry Park in September of 2023, they are one step closer to this goal.

After two years in the making, Huckleberry Park in Christiansburg is open.
