Roanoke police searching for three men after convenience store armed robbery

ROANOKE, Va. – Police are asking for help looking for three men after an armed robbery took place at a convenience store on Monday night.

Three men walked into the Quick Way Mart in the 5000 block of Melrose Avenue NW at 7:28 p.m. and robbed the store, according to police.

The suspects took money from the cash register and ran out of the store toward Peck Avenue NW, police said.

Although police said one of the men was armed, no one was hurt.

Police said two of the suspects, including the one holding the handgun, were white men, while the third person involved is a black man.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call the Roanoke Police Department's tip line at 540-344-8500. Callers can choose to remain anonymous.

The investigation is ongoing, according to police.
