A legal fight is brewing in Bedford County over plans to close a long-standing neighborhood school, and parents say they were left out of the process entirely.
A Goodview man was arrested on Monday after an investigation by Bedford County Sheriff’s Office investigators assigned to the Southern Virginia Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
A Goodview man has been charged after a residential burglary in the College Park neighborhood on Feb. 8, according to the Radford City Police Department.
The Bedford County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide that happened in the Goodview area Friday afternoon, authorities say.
Members of the Bedford County Sheriff’s Office are currently serving a search warrant related to animal cruelty and hoarding in the Goodview area of the county.
The Bedford County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in finding a suspect in connection to multiple car break-ins in the area.

GOODVIEW, Va. – A Bedford County man has been charged with ten counts of possession of child pornography, according to the Bedford County Sheriff’s Office. Perry William “Bill” Rose, 70, of Goodview was arrested by investigators on the Southern Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, authorities said. The Bedford County Sheriff’s Office and the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office are a part of the Southern Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. Authorities said this is an ongoing investigation. BOTETOURT COUNTY, Va. - A man authorities say is responsible for several Botetourt County break-ins last week is in custody. Ricky Gillespie Jr, 39, of Goodview was stopped and arrested Friday, June 21 in Effingham County, Georgia while driving a stolen car that was used during the Botetourt County break-ins, according to the Sheriff's Office. Gillespie is currently being held without bond on charges in Effingham County in the Effingham County Georgia Jail.
