RONAOKE, Va. – The National Weather Service has expired a tornado warning for parts of Henry, Franklin and Patrick counties. The warning was originally set to expire at 3:45 p.m. This warning effected north-central Henry County, Southwestern Franklin County and Northeastern Patrick County. At 3:17 p.m., a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Endicott, 7 miles southwest of Ferrum, moving east at 10 mph.

Patrick Frazee has been found guilty of murdering his fiancee, Kelsey Berreth, who vanished last year on Thanksgiving Day. Krystal Lee, a nurse from Idaho, said she and Frazee discussed the killing and he told her Berreth's last words. He said he told Berreth they were going to play a game, and he blindfolded her and then had her guess the scent of various candles, Lee testified. "He just said he swung away, and that it was really hard," Lee told the court. Lee also testified that Frazee had asked her three times to kill Berreth herself, saying Berreth was an abusive mother.

SOUTHWEST VIRGINIA - Twelve counties across Southwest Virginia have issued burn bans due to dangerously dry conditions. Chris Thomsen, with the Virginia Department of Forestry's, said the dry conditions go deeper than the ground's surface, so putting out fires is that much harder. "A bush hog will go out and the blade will strike a rock and it will spark a fire and you don't see that if it's not this dry," Thomsen said. As long as the drought doesn't let up, neither will the burn bans. "Sooner or later we'll be out of this, it just doesn't look like it's going to be anytime soon," Thomsen said.

In a trailer released Thursday, his "Ghost" co-star Demi Moore calls Swayze a someone who "needed to work harder" to be taken seriously in Hollywood and praises the duality for which he became known. "Patrick had something about him that was very rugged but that also had that beautiful, gentle, sensuous ability to move," she said. "I Am Patrick Swayze" explores Swayze's childhood in Texas, personal life and prolific and varied career through interviews and home movies. The film will premiere at the San Antonio Film Festival on Aug. 2 and debuts on the Paramount Network on Aug. 18.
