A Franklin County man has been found guilty in the shooting death of a high school teacher at a Gretna convenience store last summer. James Mattox, 52, was convicted of second-degree murder in the death of Tony Gill, 46, who was killed at Carter’s convenience store and gas station in Gretna.
Gill was remembered as a loving father and husband who was loved by many within Franklin County High School and the greater Franklin County Community.
