CAMPBELL COUNTY, Va. โ€“ A staff member with the Campbell County Sheriffโ€™s Office tested positive for COVID-19, the Sheriffโ€™s Office announced on Monday. This is the first positive case among law enforcement staff in Campbell County. If the test is positive, the Sheriffโ€™s Office says it collaborates with the Virginia Department of Health to follow necessary protocol. Due to the positive test result, the Sheriffโ€™s Office is adjusting its operating practices, including closing public access to its main lobby. Anyone who needs assistance from the Sheriffโ€™s Office should call 434-332-9580 or email sheriff@campbellcountyva.gov.

CHRISTIANSBURG, Va. The Christiansburg Recreation Center will close and be deep cleaned as a precaution after a Christiansburg Parks and Recreation employee tested positive for COVID-19. Town officials announced the positive case on Thursday and said the employee doesnt interact with members of the public as part of their job at the Recreation Center. The employee is currently isolating at home, according to town officials. The Christiansburg Recreation Center had been open to the public with adjusted hours by reservation only. The New River Health District will handle contact tracing for anyone who has been in close contact with the employee.

Cardinal Bicycle in Roanoke is offering used bikes for free for restaurant and healthcare workers. All you have to do is call the store and set up an appointment to get fitted for a bike. When you come in, youโ€™ll need to bring proof you work in an essential industry. Shop owner Whit Ellerman came up with the idea after a recent conversation with Roanokeโ€™s vice mayor.
