Sarah had an interest in meteorology from a young age. For as long as she could remember, Sarah would pull up weather reports and watch storms roll in from her home just outside of Richmond, VA.
She started her academic career at East Carolina University, where she studied Atmospheric Science. After a short period, she decided to transfer to Virginia Tech to continue her studies. There, she became a weather reporter for the university's radio station, a member of the 2022 Hokie Storm Chasers team, and an ambassador for Margaritaville University. She later graduated in the December 2024 semester with a B.S. in meteorology and a minor in geographic information systems (GIS).
In her spare time, Sarah enjoys spending time outdoors. It is common to find her offshore fishing with her family and near the water during the summer months. In the fall months, she likes to return to Blacksburg as much as she can to cheer on the Hokies and enjoy tailgating with friends and family. She loves to cook, enjoys a good thrift find, and would love to hear from her viewers, so feel free to reach out regarding weather-related stories, community events, or even if you just want to say hello!
