Kortney Lockey

Lynchburg Bureau - Multimedia Journalist

Kortney joined the 10 News team as a Lynchburg Bureau Reporter in May 2021. It’s the Colorado native’s first time on the East Coast as she comes to Virginia from North Dakota.

While there, she spent two years reporting, producing and anchoring at KVLY in Fargo.

During her time up north, Kortney spent a week stranded in Devils Lake covering a severe winter storm that dropped more than 2 feet of snow. [We're sure some of you would love her to bring that snow with her, while others are begging her to keep it there.]

She also covered riots in downtown Fargo, for which she was named a 2020 Breaking News Upper Midwest Emmy Nominee.

In May 2019, she graduated from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley where she studied journalism and economics while also playing volleyball for the university.
