ROANOKE, Va. Just a day after Isaas wreaked havoc up the East Coast, experts at Colorado State University released an update to their forecast for the 2020 Atlantic tropical season. The forecast now calls for an extremely active Atlantic season. Weve yet to reach the historic peak of the season, which falls between August 20th and October 10th. Frequency of tropical systems in the AtlanticWith CSUs updated forecast, we would run out of names. The current practice is to start using Greek letters once we run out of names.

ROANOKE, Va. โ€“ 11 P.M. UPDATE:Tropical Depression One has officially been upgraded to Tropical Storm Arthur this evening. Tropical Storm Arthur precedes the official start of hurricane season which begins on June 1st. ArthurA Tropical Storm Watch remains in effect along the North Carolina coast (see photo below). According to the National Hurricane Center, Tropical Depression One, soon to be named Arthur, formed off the coast of east-central Florida Saturday afternoon. OneA tropical storm watch has been issued along the North Carolina coast.
