After an overcast start to our Thursday, clouds have parted a bit this afternoon to allow for a few peeks of sunshine! However, this will be short-lived. We have an increase in cloud cover back in the forecast this evening, ahead of more showers tonight.

It has been a beautiful but chilly morning today! We are starting off in the 30s and 40s today, but a quick warm-up is on deck thanks to abundant sunshine.

It has been a very rainy and gloomy day in Southwest Virginia! Although we haven’t had beautiful blue skies, the rain has at least kept us from worsening air quality issues.

Today we will continue with heat and humidity, which will fuel showers and storms later on this afternoon.

Scattered storms, hazy sunshine, and tropical humidity headline the weekend weather for the Roanoke and Central Virginia region. Find out what the Weather Authority expects through Tuesday and when to look for some relief.

Hazy skies have been a staple in Southwest and Central Virginia these past few weeks. This week, we have added a new pollutant to the mix: Smoke from the Saharan Desert.

The past couple of days have been very smoky and hazy. This is all thanks to wildfire smoke being moved into our area from Canadian Wildfires.

Temperatures remain stubbornly cool in Southwest and Central Virginia, but 10 News meteorologist Delaney Willis explains when you can expect a return to warmer, more seasonal weather and what’s in store for rain through the weekend.
