Liberty Christian beat Turner Ashby 50-19 in the Region 3C semifinals. They will play Heritage next week for the Region 3C Championship.

Southwest Virginia proved once again its dominance in spring competition, bringing home seven titles back to the area.

The Lynchburg Hillcats hosted 14 teams and 41 seniors on Tuesday in the Ronnie Roberts Senior Classic. Team West beat Team East 14-13.

Lord Botetourt beat LCA on Saturday 24-22 to head to its second straight Class 3 State Championship game. The Cavaliers will travel to Lafayette High School in Williamsburg next Saturday for the title.

The Bulldogs will play at Abingdon to start State Tournament play. The Comets reach the State Tournament in back-to-back seasons, first final four appearance in over 4 decades.
