Tim Tebow retires from baseball after five years with Mets

March for Life asks its supporters to stay home this year

Heisman finalists: Tide teammates plus Lawrence and Trask

Jones and Smith are the eighth set of teammates to be finalists together since the tradition started in 1982. The Crimson Tide is the second team to have three players in the top five in Heisman voting. In 1946, Army running back Glenn Davis won the Heisman, fellow running back Doc Blanchard finished fourth and quarterback Arnold Tucker was fifth. Iowa State running back Breece Hall was sixth this year, followed by Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields, BYU quarterback Zach Wilson, Notre Dame quarterback Ian Book and Florida tight end Kyle Pitts.
Cotton Bowl: Big 12 champ Oklahoma vs SEC runner-up Florida
ARLINGTON, Texas – Oklahoma is going right back to the stadium where the Sooners just won their sixth Big 12 championship in a row to play SEC runner-up Florida in the Cotton Bowl. During a Gators team meeting on Zoom to discuss their bowl destination, one of the first questions players asked Mullen was where the Cotton Bowl was played. Oklahoma is in the Cotton Bowl for only the third time, its first since a 41-13 loss to Texas A&M on Jan. 4, 2013. The Cotton Bowl will be played two days before Alabama faces No. Pitts announced is turning pro and won't play in the Cotton Bowl.
Mond, No. 5 Texas A&M finish strong in 31-20 win over Auburn
Kellen Mond passed for two touchdowns and ran for a third and the fifth-ranked Aggies scored 17 points in the fourth quarter of a come-from-behind 31-20 victory over Auburn on Saturday. Texas A&M coach Jimbo Fisher wasn't interested in speculating on how the win might affect his team's playoff chances. He completed 18 of 23 for 196 yards, highlighted by two TDs to Jalen Wydermyer, and ran for 60 yards. The Aggies ran for a season-high 313 yards and held a 16-minute advantage in time of possession. Auburn: Was outgained 168-21 in the fourth quarter.
Rockbridge community surprises boy who battled cancer with a parade
BUENA VISTA, Va. – After a year of cancer treatments and hospital overnights, one little boy got quite a surprise when visiting his mom’s hometown this week. It has been a busy week for the two, flying in from Florida to visit her parents in Buena Vista. On Sunday, the community surprised the boy, who many have never met, with a parade. They just start showing love to my son who’ve they’ve never met again just because of my connection here,” said Dawn. The Rockbridge area community has followed the 9-year-old’s journey through bone cancer on social media.

The Bulldogs (4-2), who entered the game as 3½-point favorites, were likely eliminated from College Football Playoff consideration and probably have a quarterback competition moving forward. Trask and the Gators took advantage, burning Georgia repeatedly with wheel routes while overcoming a 14-0 deficit. A year after replacing Franks at Kentucky and finishing with the most TD passes (25) for a Florida quarterback since Tebow’s senior season in 2010, Trask leads the Southeastern Conference with 10 TD tosses in two games.
Lawrence's 3 TDs lead No. 1 Clemson to 41-23 win vs Virginia
CLEMSON, S.C. – Trevor Lawrence was happy with Clemson's win over Virginia. Lawrence threw for 329 yards and three touchdowns as Clemson opened 3-0 for the sixth straight year with a 41-23 victory over the Cavaliers on Saturday night. However, like so often the past few years when pressed, Clemson and Lawrence found what it took to succeed. Rodgers had two TD catches in the final six minutes of the opening half to give Clemson a 24-3 lead that Virginia could not overcome. That's when Lawrence found Etienne for a final scoring throw to restore Clemson's momentum.

Tim Tebow joins Barr, Ivanka Trump, working to ‘push back this evil’ that is human trafficking
Former college football star Tim Tebow joined Attorney General William Barr in the fight against human trafficking. “There are 40 million people around that world who need us. Barr and presidential advisor and first daughter Ivanka Trump hosted a discussion on human trafficking in Atlanta on Monday. Tebow, joined by his wife Demi-Leigh, said the issue became personal to him after his father rescued four girls from being sold while preaching overseas. The Tim Tebow Foundation works with other organizations around the world to prevent human trafficking and help survivors with their long-term recovery.

Yanks' Severino needs Tommy John surgery, will miss season.
Left-hander James Paxton already was projected to miss the first two months of the season following back surgery on Feb. 5. The usual recovery time for Tommy John surgery is a year or more. John Means struck out three in the start for the Orioles, but gave up two earned runs on three hits. Kendall Graveman worked two innings in his return from Tommy John surgery, giving up a hit and a walk. Jesus Luzardo gave up a hit and struck out two over two innings of his start for the A's.
