According to Virginia State Police, the car is a white passenger 4-door sedan with heavily tinted windows. Police say the suspect car then sped past and started driving aggressively. Authorities investigating car fire at Carilion parking deck
ROANOKE, Va. – Authorities are investigating a car that caught fire on a parking deck at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital early Friday morning. According to Roanoke Fire-EMS, crews were dispatched around 3 a.m. and were able to put the fire out about 15 minutes after finding the fire. Officials believe only one car was affected, and no injuries have been reported.
Car crashes into Roanoke County creek
ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. – The Cave Spring Volunteer Fire Department responded to a car wreck that sent one vehicle crashing into a creek. The department posted on Facebook about the incident around 2 p.m. on Saturday:“At approximately 11:30 this morning CSVFD was dispatched to the cross streets of Bent Mountain Rd and Cotton Hill Rd for the report of a motor vehicle accident with injuries. Upon arrival Wagon 3 found 1 vehicle had ran off the road into the creek. Members went to work securing the vehicle and getting the patient back across the creek. The patient then refused transport and all units then cleared.”
Two bodies have been recovered from a car in Smith Mountain Lake
GLADE HILL, Va. – A car has been recovered from Smith Mountain Lake in Glade Hill near Webster Road. Police say the car recovered matches the description of a car from a missing persons case filed out of Rockbridge County and Buena Vista. Deputies say two bodies were found inside the car and both are being sent to a medical examiner for further evaluation. The investigation is ongoing.
The body of a woman missing for 6 years was found in a car submerged in a New Jersey river
CNN – The body of a woman who had been missing for six years has been found in a New Jersey river, according to State Police Trooper Charles Marchan. The body was recovered from a submerged car in the Salem River on Thursday, Marchan said, and later identified as that of 52-year-old Vanessa Smallwood, who was last seen on January 27, 2014. According to a FBI missing persons poster, Smallwood was last seen at a dry cleaning business in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, driving a 2005 Chrysler Town and Country van. The Southern Regional Coroner's Office will perform an autopsy on the body, New Jersey State Police said. CNN has reached out to the Southern Regional Coroner’s Office for comment.
