ALLEGHANY COUNTY, Va. โ Alleghany High School is experiencing a season without sports due to COVID-19 concerns, but a group of students walked out of class in an effort to get the games going again. Around 4 p.m. Monday, the Alleghany County Sheriffs Office received a tip that an Alleghany High School student currently attending the Rivermont School in Covington had created a "hit list" of students and employees to harm. The list also contained the names of employees of the Rivermont School, an Alleghany County Sheriffs Office deputy and members of the suspects family, according to the Sheriff's Office.
