A woman is dead after a three-vehicle crash in Buchanan County on Wednesday, according to Virginia State Police.

The storms caused landslides and debris to block roads and bridges to be completely washed out.

Everyone is now accounted for after 44 were originally reported missing following severe flooding in Buchanan County, according to the sheriff.

ROANOKE, Va. – Appalachian Power is reporting that thousands of customers are without power. Earlier today that number exceeded 3,800. As of 1:13 p.m., Buchanan County has the most outages with 439. Following Buchanan, is Roanoke City, Henry County and Dickenson County with 189, 142 and 87 outages, respectively.
