ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. - UPDATE 3:30 p.m. Friday10 News confirmed that all Roanoke City Schools also briefly sheltered in place because of the situation in Roanoke County, according to Roanoke City Public Schools.
UPDATEAuthorities say a man is in custody after he left a Roanoke County home, distraught and armed, following a family dispute, causing all Roanoke County schools to shelter in place.
As a precaution, police say schools were asked to shelter in place.
