Two adults, two children injured after Friday night hit-and-run in Roanoke
ROANOKE, Va. – UPDATE10 News spoke to the victim of the hit-and-run that happened in Roanoke Friday night. The victim said she and her boyfriend suffered minor injuries while her 6-year-old daughter got a broken nose and concussion. She also disclosed to 10 News that her vehicle was at a total loss from the hit-and-run and that the driver of the pickup hit her vehicle twice. Roanoke police searching for car involved in deadly hit-and-run crash
ROANOKE, Va. – Police are looking for the car that hit and killed a 55-year-old Roanoke man who was crossing the street on Thursday evening. At about 6:15 p.m., police responded to the intersection of Salem Turnpike and Calvary Road NW to find a man just off the road with what appeared to be serious injuries, according to the Roanoke Police Department. The man, who authorities identified as Albert Cager Jr., was taken to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital where he later died. Witnesses told police that Cager was crossing the road when he was hit by a cream or white-colored four-door older model sedan, which then drove away. Authorities said there was no vehicle at the scene and witnesses said they saw the vehicle continue east on Salem Turnpike NW after the crash.
Roanoke County police investigate a hit-and-run at the intersection of Plantation Road and Williamson Road
ROANOKE CO., Va. – Police need your help identifying a car that was involved in a hit-and-run Saturday evening. According to authorities, the incident happened when a white sedan ran a red light at the intersection of Plantation Road and Williamson Road. Police say the car then hit someone on a moped who was traveling down Plantation. Based on car parts left at the scene the vehicle is a Toyota and it is believed to be a late 90′s model. If anyone has information on the vehicle and its driver we ask that they get in contact with police.
A man is dead after a possible hit-and-run in South Boston
SOUTH BOSTON, Va. – A man is dead after an apparent hit-and-run in South Boston Saturday night. The South Boston Police Department received a call around 11 p.m. for a person lying by the side of the street near Howard Avenue. Upon arrival, officers say they found 48-year-old Donald Jeffreys of South Boston dead with injuries that appeared to be consistent with being hit by a car. Warrants were obtained for 47-year-old Quincy Eugene Moore of South Boston in reference to the incident. Anyone with information is asked to call the South Boston Police Department.
Virginia State Police searching for this man after deadly hit-and-run crash
FREDERICK COUNTY, Va. – Virginia State Police have identified a suspect in a deadly hit-and-run crash and are asking the public’s help to locate him. Christofer Valeriano-Lanza, 20, of Winchester, Virginia, is wanted on one felony count of duty to report an accident involving injury or death. The deadly crash happened on Jan. 11 at 1:41 a.m. on Route 7 (Berryville Pike) a tenth of a mile west of Route 991 (Regency Lakes). Valeriano-Lanza ran away from the crash scene before law enforcement arrived, according to state police. State police is encouraging anyone with information concerning Valeriano-Lanza’s whereabouts and/or details about the crash to please contact Virginia State Police Trooper J. Myers at 540-662-3313.
One person hospitalized after hit-and-run crash in Lynchburg
LYNCHBURG, Va. – One person is in the hospital after being hit by a car on Sunday evening in Lynchburg, according to police. At 6:32 p.m., police responded to the 3500 block of Memorial Avenue for a report of a hit-and-run involving a pedestrian. Officers arrived and said they found a pedestrian who had been hit by a vehicle. The victim was taken to Lynchburg General Hospital with serious injuries but is expected to recover, according to police.
