Tyanna: 30 Days of Hope
There are more than 700 children who are ready for foster to adoption in Virginia. 10 News profiles one child who needs a home every day during 30 Days of Hope. The children are all ages and races and were put into foster care due to no fault of their own. 30 Days of Hope may be over, but there is still a need so we are continuing this series on Mondays in December. You can drop off toys tomorrow and next Saturday at Tanglewood Mall in Roanoke County from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Small businesses are gearing up for Small Business Saturday – a day to celebrate and support small businesses and all they do for their communities. The Small Business Administration says there are nearly 32 million independent businesses. The event was found by American Express in 2010 and officially cosponsored by the Small Business Administration since 2011. It was created to encourage residents and visitors to eat at small locally-owned restaurants in Martinsville and Henry County, especially on Small Business Saturday.
