2024 1st and 10 Camp Tour: Heritage Pioneers

The Pioneers are coming off a state finals appearance in Class 3 in 2022.

The Seminole District and Region 3C defensive player of the year is headed to the 757.

The VHSL Class 3 title tilt was a rematch of the 2018 final.

It was 45 degrees and raining at Heritage’s practice on Tuesday. While some teams may move inside, the Pioneers suffered through, building character, confidence, and motivation, all in preparation for Saturday’s Class 3 State Championship game.

For the first time ever, E.C. Glass and Heritage high schools will each host a state semifinals matchup on the same day.

Heritage has reached the state semifinals, but a big powerful Christiansburg team is the next challenge.

The Bulldogs outlast the Pioneers to stay perfect.

The perennial power Pioneers are looking to reload for another playoff run.

But now the former 1st and 10 Player of the Year is ready to step back in the orange and blue for Virginia State.

Heritage hosted a midweek indoor track meet on Tuesday.

On Friday night, the 3-seed Bees beat the 2-seed Pioneers, 50-21.

The Pioneers beat the Little Giants 45-10.

Amherst County loses to Heritage, 55-20.

Friday night’s game of two Lynchburg powerhouses proved that the Bulldogs’ bark is just as powerful as their bite.

Anyone at Brookville High School enjoyed a great game of high school football.

Heritage beat E.C. Glass 49-42.

The Pioneers proved too much for the Raiders on Friday night.

Coach Brad Bradley's Pioneers return a number of skill position players on offense.

Torrence has been at Heritage since 2016 where he won a State Title as an assistant in 2018.

In Region 3C, it’s the 3-seed that’s the champion.

Heritage made their trip up to Rockbridge County count on Friday night.

Heritage brought the rivalry spirit during Friday night’s Jug Bowl.

FOREST, Va. – With only one loss on the season, Heritage is currently ranked seventh in Region 3C where only four teams make the playoffs. While the Pioneers are within striking distance of extra football this season, Friday night’s win should slide them a bit up the standings, making next week’s game against E.C. Glass a must-win.

AMHERST COUNTY, Va. – A little bit of travel didn’t bother Heritage on Friday night. The Pioneers made the trip to Amherst County and beat the Lancers 27-0.
