Three athletes who compete in area wrestling programs remain alive in the D III NCAA wrestling championships

The Generals were led by Mary Schleusner's 30 points and 19 rebounds.

Washington & Lee fell to No. 16 Randolph Macon on Saturday 35-21. The Yellowjackets remain undefeated after beating the Generals after scoring 28 unanswered points.

The Generals outlasted the Panthers for a 17-7 win in ODAC football action.

Two former SW Virginia high school head coaches have been reunited at Davidson.

The Washington & Lee Generals are coming off of a 2021 ODAC Championship that welcomed and NCAA playoff berth. Now, head Coach Garrett LeRose enters his 4th season as head coach with plenty of experience and an established culture.

O'Brien has accepted the same position at her alma mater Amherst College.

Lynchburg was also defeated by Western New England 14-10 in second round action.

Three ODAC schools make the field including the tournament champion Lynchburg.

In women's lacrosse action, Washington & Lee claimed its 12th consecutive ODAC Championship.

Two semifinal games were played Saturday afternoon in Lexington. In the first matchup, No. 1 seed Washington & Lee faced off against No. 5 Hampden-Sydney. The Generals tied the game up 7-7 with 30 seconds in regulation to force overtime, and Bobby Clagett scored the golden goal.

The Generals fell to the Yellow Jackets 77-72 on Saturday.

Senior forward Gus Wise scored a career-high 22 points to lead the Generals to their third straight victory.
