BlendJet is recalling about 4.8 million of its portable blenders over laceration and fire hazards after receiving dozens of injury reports. According to a notice from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, the now-recalled BlendJet 2 Portable Blenders can overheat or catch fire. And their blender blades can also break off during use. Regulators urged consumers to stop using the recalled BlendJet 2 Portable Blenders immediately and contact BlendJet for a free base unit replacement. The Benicia, California-based company maintained its voluntary recall impacts older Blender 2 blenders โ and that BlendJet 2 blenders currently available for purchase through the companyโs website and retail partners are not affected.
Target recalls nearly 5 million Threshold candles after severe burns, lacerations reported
Target is recalling almost 5 million candles over laceration and burn hazards, according to a Thursday notice from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. The recall impacts Threshold-branded glass jar candles in multiple sizes and various scents. According to the CPSC, Target received 137 reports of the Threshold candlesโ jars breaking or cracking during use. Six injuries โ which included lacerations and severe burns โ were reported. Consumers with the recalled Threshold products should โshould immediately stop usingโ them, Thursdayโs notice said. The candles can be returned to any Target store or by mail for a full refund.
Stellantis recalls nearly 220,000 Jeep Cherokee SUVs worldwide due to fire risk
Stellantis is telling owners of nearly 220,000 Jeep Cherokee SUVs worldwide to park them outdoors and away from other vehicles because the power liftgates can catch fire even when the engines are off. The company is recalling certain Jeep Cherokees from the 2014 through 2016 model years. Water can get into the liftgate control computer, causing an electrical short that can touch off a fire. The company says it hasnโt developed a fix yet. Owners will get notification letters starting June 30. Stellantis says the problem was caught in a routine review of customer data.
House Autry expands its tartar sauce recall
Check your fridge and pantry because if you love dipping fish, your favorite sauce may be part of a recall. House-Autry Mills Inc. announced Thursday that itโs expanding its voluntary recall of its tartar sauce. The companyโs co-manufacturer has verified spoilage associated with the product, making the product unsuitable for consumption. The product, a 9-ounce bottle of House-Autry Tartar Sauce, was distributed between Dec. 7, 2020, and Jan. 18, 2021. Nestlรฉ recalls 762,000 pounds of pepperoni Hot Pockets
Pantry-loading has extended into freezer-stuffing in the pandemic, and that means frozen food items like Stouffer's Lasanga, Hot Pockets and Marie Callender's pies are flying off shelves. MOUNT STERLING, Ky. โ Nestlรฉ Prepared Foods is recalling more than 762,000 pounds of pepperoni Hot Pockets, the U.S. Department of Agricultureโs Food Safety and Inspection Service said. The problem was discovered when the company received four consumer complaints of extraneous material in pepperoni Hot Pockets, the department said. The company has received one report of a โminor oral injuryโ associated with consumption of the product, the USDA said. The recall is for 54-ounce packages containing 12 โNestlรฉ Hot Pockets Brand Sandwiches: Premium Pepperoni made with pork, chicken and beef pizza garlic buttery crust.โ Affected boxes have a โBest before Feb 2022โ date and lot codes of 0318544624, 0319544614, 0320544614 and 0321544614, the department said.

WIRTZ, Va. โ Fans of this local brand should check their refrigerators for any of the vintage-style companyโs glass-bottled products. Homestead Creamery voluntarily issued a recall on glass-bottled products due to โa suspected issue with the bottle sanitizing process,โ according to a news release from the company. Marketing Director Rose Jeter said the glass-bottled products in question may have a strong sanitizer odor which may affect the taste and quality of the product. The company said consumers should return the bottles to the place of purchase for a full refund. There is no known health risk associated with the issue at this time.
Homestead Creamery recalls chocolate ice cream quarts for possible undeclared pecans

Virginiaโs local Homestead Creamery is recalling its chocolate ice cream quarts dated May 13, 2021 because it may contain undeclared pecans. The company wants to make sure those with a severe sensitivity or allergy to pecans donโt run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they eat the ice cream. These ice cream quarts were distributed in Virginia and North Carolina back in May in-store and through direct delivery, and you can see if you have this specific product by checking the date at the bottom of the container. People who have this product should return the ice cream quart to the place of purchase for a full refund.
Kroger recalling 17 different cheese dips
