Two Seminole District football teams forced to cancel Friday games
Forest, Va. โ Tuesday it was the Northside Vikings having their spring football season paused because of Covid. Wednesday, both Jefferson Forest and E.C. Glass are forced to cancel Friday games because of contact tracing. The Jefferson Forest high athletic twitter account confirms the cancelation โin accordance with quarantine guidance from the VDHโ (Virginia Department of Health). The Seminole District website has both the Rustburg at EC Glass game scheduled for Friday at City Stadium, and the Jefferson Forest at Liberty Christian Academy game scheduled for Friday at Liberty University--updated to canceled.

Former Northside soccer star shines at Virginia Tech
It only took one game of his freshman season for former Northside soccer star Daniel Pereira to prove why he would be an asset at Virginia Tech. The midfielder tied the team in assists with 5 and finished third on the team in goals with 5. โThat was the most challenging, traveling, soccer, it was just a lot. Thereโs two sides, two conferences, we have to be top-four so Iโm looking to that for now. We make it to that, and win the ACC,โ Periera said.
