James Hardie team members give back to the community with blessing bags
People in the New River Valley are helping people who are experiencing homelessness. Teams at James Hardie, a manufacturing company with crews in Pulaski, Radford and Wytheville, created over 750 blessing bags filled with toiletries and personal items as a part of it's Giving Back Campaign. They also delivered 100 Wendyโs gift cards for families with children who are put up in hotels for the night.
Pulaski town leaders buy 155 acres for development
The town has recently purchased 155 acres of undeveloped land between Memorial Drive and Pepper's Ferry Road, that has been vacant for decades, for future development. As one of the largest undeveloped tracts of land within the town limits, the town has had interest in the property for several years, given its location and topography. and inquiries as to its intended use and/or availability were made.
Pulaski County superintendent addresses school safety after social media threats
The Uvaldee Foundation for Kids, a national organization, is now offering to help with security after social media threats made against Pulaski Middle School.10 News spoke with Pulaski school officials Monday who said the help isnโt needed.
Jamila Gadson found, man charged with her disappearance
Pittsylvania County Deputies said Saturday, Nov. 19 Jamila Gadson was found and returned to her home in Gretna, Investigators said, in connection with Gadsonโs disappearance, 28-year-old Andrew Roy Beverly, from Pulaski, was charged and arrested for contributing to delinquency of a minor.
