Two men arrested, charged with shooting 19-year-old in the head after targeted robbery in Henry County
A 19-year-old is still in the hospital after Henry County deputies found him inside his car with a gunshot wound to the head. Now, authorities have arrested the two people they say are responsible for his injuries.
Fight among employees, possibly involving a gun, caused Henry County businessโs evacuation, authorities say
HENRY COUNTY, Va. โ Authorities are investigating after a Wednesday afternoon fight among two employees at a Henry County business led to active shooter protocols going into place as a precaution, according to the Henry County Sheriffโs Office. At about 2 p.m., Henry County authorities responded to the Keeco facility on Beaver Creek Drive, about 3 miles north of uptown Martinsville. A fight broke out between employees where one individual said he had a gun and someone may have actually seen a gun, according to the Henry County Sheriffโs Office. Everyone inside the building was evacuated and active shooter protocols were put into place as a precaution, according to Sheriff Lane Perry. One suspect is being questioned by the Sheriffโs Office as deputies search for the other person involved.

The Henry County Sheriffโs Office held another news conference at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday to release more information about the abduction of Allie Broadaway. Virginia State Police canceled the Amber Alert issued out for her disappearance around 7:32 p.m. as authorities said the Henry County girl was safely located. The Sheriffโs Office said the child abduction suspect, 21-year-old Kaleb Merritt, is in custody. Broadaway had been reported missing at 1:45 p.m. on Friday by her family.

The 4-foot-11-inch-tall 12-year-old Henry County girl was reported missing by her family at about 1:45 p.m. Friday at 2373 Reed Creek Drive in Bassett. Man taken into custody in Henry County for drug charges following standoff
BASSETT, Va. โ The Henry County Sheriffโs Office took a man in custody for four drug charges on Thursday. Authorities found the wanted person, 30-year-old Jamie Lee Ore, outside of the home. Deputies said Ore refused to exit the home, causing a search warrant to be obtained to enter the residence. The Sheriffโs Office assembled a tactical team with negotiators to assist in the incident. Missing man with medical issues found in Henry County
